Set reserved names

If you do not want certain names to be used by your members, you can reserve it.
To reserve a name

  1. Click on the "security" link
  2. Click on "Set reserved names".
  3. Enter each name per line
  4. Check the box "Match partially" if you want to reserve anyname that includes this name.
i.e. if you enter protector as a reserved name and you do not check the "Match partially" box, then MojoAuto, protector, protectors are OK usernames to registered.
However, if you check the ">Match partially" box, then MojoAuto, protector, protectors are NOT OK usernames to registered.
  5. Check the box "Case sensitive" if the name is case SeNsITiVe.
  6. Click submit
Set banned usernames, IP address, emails

You can prevent people from registering at your site by ban a set of usernames, IP addresses, or Email addresses.

To ban a set of usernames from registering, enter them one at a line in the username box. This is very much like reserved names. However, we check for whole name only.

To ban a set of IP addresses from registering at your site, enter them one at a line into the IP box. IP address can be as specific as 123.456.789.012, or as general as *.456.789.012. In the latter case, IP addresses that contains .456.789.012 at the end will not be allowed to register.

To ban a set of email addresses from registering at your site, enter them one at a line into the email address box. Email addresses can be as specific as me@yahoo.com or the whole domain such as yahoo.com. We check for partial match here.
For Example:
If you enter yahoo.com then everyone at yahoo cannot register at your site
If you enter me@yahoo.com then whoever has the email address of me@yahoo.com will not be allowed to register. However, if someone has youme@yahoo.com will not be able to registered, neither. So dont be surprise to see if you block someone and someone else is not able to register. If that's the case, they need to register with some other addresses.

Prevent unauthorized referers

You can prevent people from hot linking to your registration page. This can help filter out a lot of junk accounts if someone tries to use a loop to register at your site.

Just enter the URLs( http://www.me.com or me.com) that you want to allow access. If you want everyone to be able to execute your script from their site, then just leave this box empty..
