Manage Polls
MojoPoll
allows you to create, manage, customize and publish online polls and surveys on the
fly via the web based admin control panel, the polls can be instantly published on
your website or activated at any time later.
Create Poll
To create a poll, add the poll name, check the activate box if you
want users to be able to vote right away, otherwise uncheck if you
do not want to track votes now.
Select poll starting and ending dates. Votes will only be tracked
within the specified date and time frame.
Enter a short description of your poll to identify it to you and
to the user later.
Click submit button to create the poll.
Now you will see a number of links along with the link to the poll
questions:
del - delete this poll
edit - edit poll name, direct activation, starting/ending dates and description
perms - allocate permission to edit this poll to one or more admin groups
password - change the access password for this poll
comments - view and delete user comments on this poll
reset - deletes all current poll data, including results, IPs and cookies
export - instantly exports poll data to a Microsoft Excel data file
hidden res/open res - if hidden res is clicked, the user receives just a
thanks for voting note instead of the results after voting
poll link - click here to add questions and answer options
Add Questions and Answer Options
After clicking the "poll link", you will be asked to add a question, if
you already created questions, the questions will be displayed in row
of appearance on the poll page. You have the option to remove certain
questions, edit questions, move questions between polls and define
the row of appearance by clicking up and down.
Add Question
First enter the question into the form field. Then enter the answering options
to textarea field, one per line.
Then select whether you wish to assign these answers to radio boxes,
checkboxes, select or multi-select fields or an edit box for the user
to fill own answers into.
Then you can check the box if you want the user to optionally
enter his own answer that is not listed in the selection of answers
you provide.
Check the box if you want to make an answer required to that question.
Question Example
Your question is "What is your favourite Color?"
Enter in the textarea answers:
Blue
Green
Red
Black
Now select if you wish to assign radiobuttons to these answers, or
checkboxes or selection fields or multiple selection fields.
If you chose radiobuttons here, the user can select only ONE option,
he can only click either blue, green, red or black.
If you chose checkboxes here, the user can select one or more options.
If you chose selection fields here the user can only select ONE option
in the selection field, with multiple selection he can select one, more
than one or all.
If you chose "Allow users to enter their own answer", then the user will
be presented with an additional form field where he is able to enter
his/her own answer, using the example above, users may want to enter
"yellow" for example.
If you chose "Editbox", the users will only see one form field,
where they are supposed to enter any text to this question. |
